Move over, boards. It’s 2020, and there’s a new kid in town.

We love a good cheese or charcuterie board. What’s not to like, right? You get a little nibble of this or that, and if you’re lucky, a good glass of wine to accompany the food. It’s a great party food. We came up with this idea to take the concept up a notch- and the bonus is, it’s COVID friendly, too! If you get squeamish about a bunch of hands touching food, this is for YOU.

The basics:

Start with making a list of what you want to include in your board.
Sample ideas for charcuterie cones:
In this cone board, we used breadsticks, beef jerky, turkey pastrami slices, and Tuscanini olives.

  • Beef jerky
  • Salami chips
  • Cold cuts
  • Olives
  • Grapes
  • Nuts
  • Breadsticks
  • Crackers
Sample ideas for cheese cones:
In this cheese cone board, we used grapes, everything spice coated goat cheese balls, Amstelvelder gouda cheese, and mixed nuts.

  • Cracker/flatbread
  • Grapes
  • Goat cheese
  • Mozarella cheese
  • Gouda cheese
  • Amstelvelder cheese
  • Nuts

You decide what you want to put in, and just go with it! (Space permitting.)

We purchased these cone stands locally, and suggest you do the same. You can also craft your own stand using a cupcake stand and cones made of parchment paper. The bonus is, cones made by hand can be made larger or smaller as needed..
