Zoos are a great option for a family trip. There’s something for everyone, generally. Some zoos we found that are open are Prospect Park Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Turtleback Zoo, Popcorn Zoo, White Post Farms, and plenty more!

Note: If the idea of masks are a turn off for you, you might enjoy the Six Flags Great Adventure Safari with your family! You stay in the car for the duration of the visit, which might be a pro or a con depending on your family!

AMUSEMENT PARKS:

Some theme parks and amusement parks are open. Every family has different needs, depending on the ages of the children, or the preferences of ride type. Here’s a partial list, or if there is a specific park your family enjoys, check if they’re open! Six Flags Great Adventure, Nickolodeon Universe.

WATER PARKS:

Water parks are awesome! Depending on your children, you may think so, too! Here are some water parks that are open, both indoor. Cascades Indoor Waterpark (limited), Great Wolf Lodge (call before).

PARKS:

Nearly all state and city parks are open. There are hundreds of beautiful parks, and we won’t list them all! Go with a picnic lunch, some balls and frisbees, and enjoy the simple family time! The Highline is especially beautiful as a date night idea. Walk from one end to the other, and enjoy!

What’s your family’s favorite way to spend their time? Let us know!

My husband told the kids he’ll take them to walk on the Williamsburg Bridge, and they’ve been eagerly anticipating it! I hope the weather cooperates.
